I went out yesterday to try and roost some turkeys.  As i reached the top of the hill, 150-200 lb bear was eating grass in the field 50 yards from me.   i walked to see how close i could get to it since i was in complete camo.   I was able to close the gap to 25 yards and then its started to walk towards me.  i stood stil and then it must have winded me and took off running.  I should have had my camera but i walked about a mile and a half and had wo walk that back to my truck so i wasnt going to lug my camera around but now i wish i would have.

went out tonight with leljedal06 to roost some more birds and saw more bear.. this time a mother and cubs.  got them on tape with the cubs climbing trees and playing with their mother.  got about 60 yards from them until the mother stood up then we decided to leave.  she watched us walk away and wasnt bothered.

We have seen 2 different bears near the Conneration area.  One was about a 100 pound youngster.  The other was about a 300 plus pound adult.
