Has anyone here hunted in Nebraska? I am heading out on April 29th and am just looking for a little info! Never hunted Merriam's before! Thanks!

I hunted southern NE last year at the Harlan Lake area. It is Army Corps land and open to the public. Lots of birds but most are Hybrids (Rio/Merriams) although somw we killed definately showed the Merriams trait.

Shoot me a PM.

Got back from Nebraska, had a great trip, all three of us killed birds. I shot a Rio on the first evening of the hunt, 23 lbs, 10 1/4 beard and 1 1/4 spurs. My buddy Killed one on the thrid day, his was 18 lbs  8 beard and it had no spurs! Great trip saw tons of birds and had chances at a lot more, should have limited out! We will be going back next year!
