Went out today and had 2 long beards come in had my bow with me but when they got in bow range one would put his head down and the other would keep his head up and look around so i couldnt get my bow drawed back i finally got it drawed back but they were about 40 yards out there but i miss judge the yardage and shot under him:mad: but thats huntin ill get him next time .... I hope.

i havent made it out hunting for my self but i have been out videoing ray gilpin and my brother billy we are getting closer and closer with the bow maybe get one on thursday heading out with ray on wednesday. hope it works out i got some good footage of the birds but just cant get them close enough or in a position for a shot.

how is everyones season going. ive been getting allot of footage but no kills on camrera yet but had a few close calls. dont forget we can hunt all day the last two weeks so get out there and dont forget to register that bird. thanks to conners taxidermy and wildlifegamemasters you could win a free mount.

My season was ruff up untill last friday then they started gobbling good and i shot a bird late in the morning at 11. My buddie just shot a bird monday with dubble spurs! 2 spurs on each leg it was crazy!

I know he is winning the compitition we are in! I will never hear the end of it. If i shoot a bird with 2 inch spurs it will just be a ordinary bird cause it only has 2 spurs and not 4!

Winners of the 2011 Thunder Chicken Shoot-out are as follows. Third place Terry Hepler - 61.575, Second Place Dave MacKinlay - 64.25 and Fisrt Place Cody Kline with a score of 65.125. Congratulations guys.

Sure can.  Sorry it has taken a while to get this all posted.  I haven't had a whole lot of time to be on the computer.  !st place was 1 5/16", 1 1/4" spurs 9 3/4" beard.  2nd  1 1/4", 1 1/8" spurs 10 1/4" beard.  3rd 1 1/8", 1 3/16" spurs and 9 1/8" beard.  All three winners had 20 sponsor photo bonus points.
