1st deer on the AM was a nice 8pt about 120".  at 5yds but until I got the camera turned on he walked the other away.  He would have lived anyway.   Saw another 11 deer after that and put the smack down on a small doe at 9:00 am.  Went about 60 yds and decided to give up.  LONG LIVE THE BEAST!!

took my step son adam out last night we had a 4pt at 15 yards for about 45 minutes and saw 3 doe. they were the first deer he had seen from his archery stand. the first thing he said when we got back to the vehicle is he wished it was leagle he said he could of shot it 5 or 6 times. so i told him you have to put the time in the woods and it will happen for ya. so maybe ill take him back out tonight if the wife makes it home in time or ill go myself ill let it up to him. I was really worried about how he would do, cause he has been out hunting by himself but he did really good stay still and didnt make any noise. i hope he can get one this year he shot his bow allot this summer.

The season started off a little disapointing for me when on October 11 when I hit a doe and looked for 4 hours and never found it. But then it got better on October 23 when I hit a doe and DID find it. It was my first archery deer. It's awesome to be PLAYIN THE GAME!

congrats on the doe gforney10. you have to try videoing your hunts it fun and it will actually help you figure out were your arrow hits. once again congrats and good luck on getting that buck next.

Got my West VA tag filled on Monday morning.  Best buck to date.  Recurve bow at 12 yards.  Photo over in trophy room 2010.

It was one crazy first year of archery for me. I was up hunting three weekends total. And all of those weekends I got a shot at a deer. The first time I shot a doe and never found it. The second time I shot a doe and did find it. The third time which was the last day I missed a spike buck. So I feel pretty lucky to have that good of an archery season especially for my first one.
