Wildlife Game Masters

I am going to put together a coyote hunt for forum members.  I need some input from y'all to make it happen.  The big thing is when to hold the contets, how long, etc. due to the number of other contest out there.  I thought it may be a good idea to have it at the same time as others, so hunters are already out there anyway.  Give me some feedback.  Anyone, who may want to contribute in the way of prizes to get some exposure let me know.  It will not be a cash contest though.  There will be no entry fee, you will just need to be a member of the forum.

First thing is for me, is that it will have to be during or after the Mosquito Creek Coyote hunt. That contest is usually the last week in february. That is the Biggest contest for coyotes in the country if not the world...no kidding.  There are lost of people i know that wait for that contest before they start hunting coyotes.  If you were to have it for the same 3 days as the Mosquito Creek hunt then more people might join in on your contest also.  Something to think about

I think it would definately work better to hold the contest at the same time as others, due to the reasons you stated.  I think it would make it better for everyone if you can b participating in two contests at the same time.  Like you said, if you have a contest with a big payout you are not going to want to hunt your areas until the big contest rolls around.

I would get in it, even though I don't get in other ones, I like the Idea when ever you have it (as long as its a weekend).

So what's the latest on the coyote contest? Also anyone hear anything on other contests around?

I know from about the end of january until the middle of march you can find a coyote contest to get in somewhere.   Mosquito creek is in 2 weeks.
