Wildlife Game Masters

I went out monday morning in the rain and ended up calling in a nice long beard, then i took a buddy of mine out tuesday morning he has never been spring gobbler hunting before. We set up on a tram road and i started calling. 3 long beards start come towards us they get about 30 yards from us and he blasts one it had an 8 1/2" beard he was as excited as a kid lol.:lol:

Finally got one on Monday.  Hunted hard the first week without any close encounters.  Set up in one of the blinds I had out with my decoy about 30 yards out.  The 2 birds that were only a couple hundred yards away from me gobbled until 6:15 then just stopped.  This other bird about a half mile away wouldn't shut up, so I popped a 4 reed call in my mouth and started talking to him.  It took 40 minutes, but I finally saw him at full strut coming across the field from my right.  I got him in my sites ay about 30 yards and let him have a load of copper plated #5s.  Never took another step.  10 inch beard, 7/8 inch spurs and about 18 pounds.  It was a replay of the bird I got 2 years ago in the same place, except I didn't have the blind that time.
